It’s almost that time of year, again!

It’s almost that time of year, again!

Last year, as very few of you may recall (I know that nobody visits, but w/e) but for the twelve days  leading up to Christmas, I had timed posts that posted verses of “The Twelve Days of Christmas” (just search for “day of Christmas” in the search bar :P) Not this year though.  You see, it’s only 5 days til Christmas… If you even read my blog whenever it’s updated, you would know that when it comes (to this blog) I’m not very good at keeping promises >< especially as of late.  Over a year since I’ve drawn a comic. Oh, and I forgot to mention:

I have a new deviantART account. again.  Hopefully this’ll stick better than “deus-hikari“. heheheh

Another thing to note… I haven’t been working on the new website for a while now (almost a month?)  It’s been difficult for me to get a layout off the ground, and without a layout I’m sunk. One of the main reasons people go to websites is because of the layout, if it’s good they would want to come back again and again– well, that was unexpected… I just got a layout idea ^^; Should draw it before I forget, would be a good idea….

(half a minute later…)

Well…. when I get an idea, and I draw it down, it’s not exactly the same DX nothing I can do about that.

Anyway, how about some discussion?  What are you looking forward to opening on the 25th?

The future of my art quality

I’ll try to keep this short.

Lately I’ve been wondering… Is my art quality/style good enough?  I mean, are my drawings up to the standards of StudioQube and Twinscatear(for unfamiliar examples)?

I then theorized that, if my drawing abilities were as good as those two examples, or even any other studio or independent artist, I would never realize that my abilities are at that level, and therefore doomed to forever be in the mindset that “I’m not good enough.”

I know, it must sound silly. Although the thing is, if I were to look at my drawings from a different point of view (i.e. look at it in a way that somebody else might look at it) or even compare one of my drawings to someone else’s, especially if it’s completely different from a particular one that I drew, then maybe I might be able to recognize my art style for what it is?

VOCALOID2 - You - Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni

I really love the imagery that this song creates!
